Background |
|
|
AgropromAvtomatika Ltd is an established company set up in early 2002 to manufacture and supply plastic, rubber and metal products to poultry farms. The company has long term contracts to supply its products to fifteen of the largest poultry farms in Russia, some of which are located close to Snezhinsk. The company's main product lines include rubber baffles and membranes used in pressure controllers and water pumps, plastic polymer products for cage-mounted clamps and nipples used in poultry breeding, and customised equipment and spare parts from stainless steel used for weighing systems, rope hangers, and spare parts for Russian and imported equipment.

Plan |
|
|
The company wants to modernise its production facilities and double its output so that annual
turnover will reach £ 600,000; this will require an increase in factory space of about 270 sq
metres and the recruitment of fifteen new staff. If the company can produce higher quality products
and improve its assortment, it will obtain a definite competitive advantage. Moreover, it will be
able to produce its own spare parts thereby displacing expensive imported ones. The plan envisages
the preparation of tender documents for equipment, rental and refurbishment of suitable space in
Snezhinsk, purchase of specialised equipment (including injection moulding machines), recruitment
and training of staff, and marketing of the company's new and improved product range.
