Title

Production of Resource-Saving Devices for Automated Variable Frequency Drives.
Objectives

Creation of 28 new jobs, of which 17 are for former employees of FSUE UECC.

Summary

APS Ltd. is a company founded in April 2009 in Novouralsk. It was set up by RPE Poisk 93 Ltd., a company designing and building automation systems, to manage its production and installation activities, leaving Poisk 93 to focus on design and research and exploitation of new technologies. APS carries out automation of technological processes and electric drives for clients (though the use of industrial controllers, frequency modulators, soft starters, and data transfer systems). It also provides advanced control technologies for the purpose of power and resource-saving. APS's focus is upon variable drives (up to 400KWt capacity). It has taken on the client service role previously managed by Poisk 93, including 14 clients in the Urals, but also in Moscow and Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenetsk autonomous districts. APS relied on its owners (Poisk 93 and Technochim Ltd.) for production space, and outsources much of its machining work to the Urals Electro-Chemical Combine (UECC).

Offices (240 sq.m.) and production premises (800 sq.m.), located in Novouralsk and having sufficient power supply, were provided by RPE Poisk-93 Ltd. and TechnoChim Ltd, respectively. These rooms were considered as in-kind contribution to the project, estimated as £ 83,000 and £36,000 correspondingly.

Jobs

15 new jobs (of them 15 for former employee of UECK) had been created by the end of Q 1, 2011-2012.
Cost

Total cost of the project is £289,106. The DECC's contribution is £176,012.
Own funding of £112 317 is being invested by APS Ltd. Offices (240 sq.m.) and production premises (800 sq.m.), located in Novouralsk and having sufficient power supply, were provided by RPE Poisk-93 Ltd. and TechnoChim Ltd, respectively. These rooms were considered as in-kind contribution to the project, estimated as £83,000 and £36,000 correspondingly.
