The development of the Investment Passport for the City of Seversk.
Objectives
Producing an image for the Closed City of Seversk as a territory attractive for making
investments by developing and issuing informational document which provides potential investors
with detailed information about the city, its potential and advantages.
Attracting investments outside of the city for establishing new enterprises and
new jobs at existing enterprises.
Activating entrepreneur activities.
Preparing for the forthcoming opening of the city, provision the region with the information
of the city features, removing informational "blank spots" and radiophobia.
Producing an image for the Closed City of Seversk as a "high-tech zone", a zone of high
entrepreneur activity, including scientific and technical areas.
Summary
The Seversk City Administration and the recently established Business Development Agency (BDA) wish
to improve the provision of information for potential entrepreneurs and investors on the business
opportunities and economic prospects of the City. This proposal relates to the preparation of an
'Investment Passport'. It will involve collating and publishing a promotional prospectus of around
50 pages setting out the environment for business in Seversk. The material will be prepared in Russian
and English and available both as a printed document and as a CD, and would also be available on the
web. It will set out key information on the local economy to support the promotional of the city and
the attraction of new investment.
Cost
Funding requested from DTI amounts to £ 15,000. The DTI is funding the contribution of £15,000.

5 months - starting from April 2005.
