Visit of CNCP Programme representatives to Minsk, April 2011

On 19-20 April a monitoring visit for the CNCP delegation to the Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research (JIPNR) – Sosny, Minsk (Belarus) was organized. The CNCP experts visited sites where CNCP projects are being implemented.

During the visit the progress on the following projects was discussed:

• Additional Encapsulation of Cs-137 Sealed Sources;
• Measuring Device for Nitrosamines;
• Radiation Treatment of Materials and Goods;
• Water Treatment and Analysis Centre.

Also, the new project concepts submitted by JIPNR for consideration by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) of Canada were discussed.
