Title

Water Analysis and Treatment Centre.
Objectives

- To establish a water analysis and treatment centre on the basis of Radiochemical laboratory n°6 of the Sosny Institute.

- To create 12 permanent jobs, including 7 jobs for ex-nuclear workers.
Summary

Under the project, a pilot installation will be created for testing and developing technologies for water and waste water treatment, and a commercial service based on the use of this installation will be marketed. The service will include: expertise of taylor-made solutions and designs, testing of possible water treatment technologies, development of technological solutions for specific problems, development of novel technologies, educational courses.

Jobs

3 new jobs (including 1 for the employee who worked before 1991) had been created by the end of Q 1, 2011-2012.
Cost

The DECC's contribution is £ 86,500.
